The designation LP stands for Low Position at Weidemann. This already has a long tradition and means that the machine has a lower clear height and a low machine center of gravity. With the Hoftrac 1260LP, you can pass under 2 m / 78.74 in without having to fold down the overhead guard. On the other hand, the loader is characterized by improved stability, which makes it unbeatable in handling heavy loads. Added to this is our Direct Wheel Drive (dwDrive), a powerful and efficient drive concept in which all four wheels are driven directly. This purely hydraulic wheel hub drive provides an increase in efficiency, excellent acceleration and thus enables lively handling and high shearing forces.
With Direct Wheel Drive (dwDrive), 4 wheel hub motors are placed directly on the wheels. This means that each wheel has its own motor, which drives the respective wheel directly.
The wheel hub motors are driven directly by the travel hydraulic pump, eliminating mechanical losses. The wheel hub motors are also protected against pressure peaks by a high-pressure safeguard. An anti-cavitation valve between the wheel hub motors optimizes the oil supply when cornering.
This type of drive is advantageous for machines with an operating weight of up to 3 t. Due to the purely hydraulic drive, there is no power loss through axles or gears. The dwDrive also enables high thrust forces, excellent acceleration and lively driving performance.
LP-Design (Low Position): Under 2 m clearance height
The lowered seat position for the operator allows for a lower overall height of the machine. As a result, even low passages of less than 2 m / 78.74 in can be easily passed with the overhead guard or cab permanently mounted.
Additional advantages of the low design include a machine center of gravity close to the ground for greater stability and easy machine entry.
Increased lifting height and reach with long loading arm
In addition to the standard loading arm, many Hoftracs have one, or even several, longer loading arms as an option. The longer loading arm realizes an increased lifting height and reach. This means that there is no need to automatically switch to a larger machine. This makes compact machines even more efficient and flexible in application.
In addition to the increased lifting height, the reach of the machine is also increased. This allows, for example, loading and unloading of a trailer with pallet forks, even in the second row.
Comfortable loading arm damping
The loading arm shock absorber can be activated electrically and enables optimum handling of the machine in rough terrain and on the road. It is particularly recommended when the machine transports heavy loads in the bucket or on the pallet fork, or moves a heavy attachment over a long distance at high speed. The loading arm shock absorber provides a significant plus in comfort for the operator.
Lifting arm damping prevents the machine from rocking at high travel speeds. This increases safety for the operator and protects the vehicle components by absorbing shocks.
Easy entry and exit
In just a few steps, the operator can comfortably enter the cab or operator's platform of the machine. This is made possible by the large, non-slip steps and the easy-to-reach handholds. This increases operator safety when getting in and out of the machine.
